Mary Rose Denton, LMP  

Owner and director, has been a massage therapist and bodywork educator since 1993. She began her career of bodywork and movement exploration as a dancer and carried this love for movement in the human body into her practice as well as her teaching of massage. She opened Denton Massage School in 2000 and still teaches various classes in the program, including Kinesiology and Deep Tissue techniques. She shares her life with her husband and two daughters and she still dances with a local dance company. Current affiliations are AMTA, AMBP, and Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

Jay Nordquist, LMP

Jay has always had an interest in massage, and often massaged family and friends. When his former occupation in construction slowed, it was an opportunity for a career change. Jay graduated from Denton Massage School in June of 2011. He started his massage career at a spa, and currently works at a massage clinic in Mukileteo. Jay does a variety of work there, including both relaxation and treatment work, and also keeps busy doing chair massage twice a week in a corporate setting. Jay finds his career in massage both satisfying and rewarding. He currently instructs a variety of classes at Denton Massage School.

Lisa Noste, LMP

Has been practicing massage at the Wellness Clinic since 2003. Teaching Massage Theory & Practice, Deep Tissue, Charting, Indian Head Massage and Billing at Denton Massage School since 2006. Teachers assistant for Kinesiology, Theory & Practice, Deep Tissue, Clinical, and Hydrotherapy from 2003-2005. Current member of the AMTA. Graduate of Spectrum School of Massage, B.A. in Economics from Washington State University.

Pamela Foster, LMP

Has been a licensed Massage Practitioner since 1990 and instructor since 1997, teaching all levels of massage therapy and the business of massage. She has also been teaching Ethics for the Massage Practitioner since 2006, instructing students and graduates alike. She practices in the Eastlake district of Seattle with a second location in Mountlake Terrace. As a part of her practice, she offers Vedic Astrology, Tarot, and Business Consulting as well.

Amanda Wilms, ND

Is a Naturopathic doctor currently practicing in Everett, Washington. She is a graduate of Bastyr University with doctoral level training in medically related fields. Her passion for holistic healing and sharing integrative knowledge has led her to instruct classes and take part in preparing competent and successful massage practitioners.

Douglas Sumner, LMP

Is a graduate of Denton Massage School. He is currently a teachers assistant/instructor for Kinesiology, Clinical, Integrated, Sports Med, Polarity Therapy, and Hydrotherapy. He is also a supervisor of the Student Clinic and Internships. Douglas’ passion for bodywork was forged during his years of training as a ballet dancer at both Pacific Northwest Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. locally raised, Douglas enjoys hiking the PNW’s scenic trails, snow skiing, and taking long walks on local beaches. He is also an avid gardener, cook, and world traveler.

Paula Shepherd, LMP

Is a 2012 graduate of Denton Massage School, with previous experience with anatomy and physiology as a Pre-Med undergraduate student, and worked as a TA in the cadaver lab. She loves kinesiology, and currently teaches Integrated class and manages Student Clinics. Her private practice at the Wellness Clinic focuses on injury and accident recovery as well as relaxation. Paula has been married for over 18 years, and has four wonderful children, 3 boys and 1 girl ages 8-16. She loves music, and plays and teaches piano, organ, saxophone, and basic guitar. She enjoys running, exercising, cooking, gardening, and reading. She loves serving and being active in her church and community.

Kate Bromley, MA, LMP, RPE

Brings to Denton Massage School over 24 years of experience in the massage field. She’s been certified in Neuromuscular therapy, Pregnancy massage, WATSU, Reiki, and has also completed a 250 hour Aromatherapy and SPA certification. Her specialties are lymphatic drainage and Polarity therapy. She is a registered Polarity therapy educator and practitioner. Kate has been teaching massage since 1991. She is an active continuing education instructor, teaching APP (Associate Polarity Practitioner) level certification classes in Seattle and is also co-founder of the Eclectic Bodyworker CE classes. She’s presented at AMTA state and national conventions on more than one occasion and is currently developing other continuing education classes. Her massage practices have been primarily doing treatment massage, energy work, and sports massage, and for several years an active practice in the pool, practicing WATSU. Kate’s philosophy of bodywork is that the most effective work addresses body, mind, and spirit and no one modality suits every client. she has maintained a personal practice in yoga for the past 12 years and has been studying Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
